Vegetarian

Dan thinks that Matt is a vegetarian because he doesn't like meat.  Dinner each night is a creative challenge for us to come up with new ways to get Matt to eat his dinner.  Tonight Dan had basketball so I was on my own.   It might sound strange but Matt likes Italian dressing.  So we put Italian dressing on his Sheeeeeeeeeesh-kabob and that worked for a few bites of meat.  I then took a picture of him eating with my phone to send to Dan and that started a new game of me taking pictures of him "eating like a big boy" and then showing him the picture on the back of the camera.  He ate more meat than I have seen him eat in a long time.  Not great pictures, but a fun game.

St. Paddy's Day Playdate

The Mooradian cousins came over for another playdate on St. Patrick's Day.  It will probably be the last one before we have any new additions join us.  The boys had fun.  Can't wait until it is warm enough for them to play outside!

More Projects

Two of our nephews turned one this month.  For their birthdays I made them activity books.  I had made one for Matt for Christmas and he loves it.  It kept him entertained on our flights to and from Arizona so I thought Nicklas and Charlie would like them too.

Great Grandma Arpy's

Last weekend Dan took Matthew to Great-Grandma Arpy's house for a little playdate with both of their cousins, Dave & Grant, and Dennis & Reece.  The boys had fun and from what Dan said Grandma did too.

Dan's trip to Pinehurst

Two weeks ago, Dan took a trip to Pinehurst, NC with some friends for a little guys getaway before baby #2 comes along.  I tease him that it was his babymoon and I am still waiting for mine!  They had a great time in spite of the chilly weather.  The played 4 rounds of golf while they were there.

Spring is here

It finally feels like spring.  Matt and I have taken quite a few walks and trips to the park.  You can still see some snow in the background from these.  He loves his new sunglasses!

Cranbrook Museum

Last week some friends and I took the kids to Cranbrook's science museum.  The kids had fun running around, but I am not sure how much they got out of the museum portion.  Matt had fun playing on the stairs and ramps, but he did really like the T-rex skeleton.   I think we will have to do this outing again when the kids are older.  The kids liked this little computer station.  Matt thought the mouse was a phone. I guess he has only seen our laptop so I understand the confusion.

Music Class

For the past few weeks Matt and I have done a music class with his friends Grace, Eleana, Sophia, & Caroline (he is quite the ladies man).  The class was at The Franklin Academy.  Matt had fun because the class was in the gym and he got to run around and do whatever he wanted and every once in awhile he would participate in the music activity.  His favorite time was playing with the parachute at the end of every class.  The pictures are not very good, but these are the only few that I took.

Dew & Nene

While Dan was gone on his babymoon/boys golf weekend this past weekend, Hannah brought her kids over for a little playdate.  Ever since Matt is asking for "Dew" & "Nene" all the time.  He loves following Drew around and doing everything he is doing.  He also loves when Drew picks him up and carries him.  He kept walking up to him saying "up please."  Drew has a lot of patience for the little ones.  They kept destroying the train track that he was building.  The only pictures I took are of goldfish snack time.

Happy Birthday Dan!

Last Sunday was Dan's birthday. Our weekend was pretty busy.  Friday night Dan and I went to The Capital Grille for dinner and then to see The Blind Side.  Saturday we met my family for lunch to celebrate Great-Grandma and Dan's birthdays.  Then, Saturday night we went to Crust with some friends.  On Sunday, Dan volunteered for set-up and tear-down at church so he didn't get home until mid-afternoon.  It was really sunny out so he and Matt built some snowmen in the backyard.  We had birthday dinner & cupcakes at home that night.
