Playing at home

I really wasn't sure what to expect with Matt when we brought Gwen home. I couldn't have asked for him to be a better brother to her. When people ask me how he does with her I say if anything he loves her to a fault. He always wants to play with her, give her paci if she crys, hold her, and teach her how to do things like a big kid. I can't wait until she can interact more with him. She was playing on the floor during his nap and when he got up he wanted to play too. If you notice Matthew with his hand up in a lot of my pictures it is because that is what he thinks I want him to do when I tell him to smile. When Dan used to help me capture pictures of Matt he would hold up his hand behind the camera and snap to get Matt's attention and then tell him to smile. Now Matt associates the hand motion with smiling.

Mom's Birthday/Father's Day

We had a bbq at our house to celebrate both my mom's birthday and father's day. Jason was out of town for business, but the rest of us had a great time. Nick cracks me up. He loves cake and gets very excited when he sees it. Grandma made sure that he didn't miss out on his fair share. It was a beautiful evening and the boys really enjoyed playing outside.

Father's Day

Dan got to pick how we spent Father's Day weekend so we went up north to his parent's house on Elk Lake. Matt had lots of fun throwing rocks into the water and driving Papa's boat. The water is freezing because the lake is so deep so he wasn't too interested in swimming. Gwen also enjoyed spending time outdoors and letting the breeze blow through her hair.

Matthew Turns 2!

We celebrated Matt's birthday with a little backyard bbq. It was hot and muggy so the kids had fun playing in the water table and kiddie pool. Matt had a great time. He blew out his birthday candle by himself, ate his cupcake with a fork, and opened his presents one by one.

Here are some pics of Gwen at 2 months. I can't believe how fast the time is going. That makes me feel old
